Vitality Patients – Important Information

​

We are recognised by Vitality, and Vitality patients are accepted.
However, all Vitality patients must pay upfront for their consultation and claim the cost back directly from Vitality.
The Functional Podiatrist cannot claim on your behalf.

Important: Notify Vitality Before Your Appointment

​

It is your responsibility to contact Vitality before your consultation to ensure you are covered.
Failure to obtain pre-authorisation may result in Vitality refusing reimbursement.

Advanced Gait Analysis / Initial Injury Consultation

Are not generally covered by Vitality benefits
These appointments are self-funded and you may be able to claim this back.

Before Your Appointment

​

1. Pre-authorisation required
Vitality requires you to obtain a pre-authorisation number before your consultation.

2. Understand your policy
Make sure you know your policy details, including any excess you may have to pay.

3. Contact Vitality
Phone: 0345 602 3523
Or log into your Vitality Member Account.
They may require a GP or Consultant referral before approving podiatry treatment.

4. Items not covered by Vitality
The following are self-funded and must be paid for on the day:

  • Dressings

  • Medications

  • Splints

  • Orthoses (medical insoles)

  • Any non-covered treatments as advised during your consultation

5. Coverage questions
If you are unsure what your policy covers, please contact Vitality directly.
We cannot communicate with Vitality on your behalf — only the policyholder may do this.
