WPA Insurance – What you need to know:
Before attending your consultation, please ensure the following:
-
Pre-authorisation: WPA requires you to obtain a pre-authorisation number before your appointment.
-
Understand your policy: Review your WPA policy to check your coverage and determine if you have an excess, which will need to be paid directly to The Functional Podiatrist.
-
Contact WPA: You can reach WPA at 0345 122 3100 or log into your WPA member account HERE. They may require a referral from a Consultant or GP before approving your treatment.
-
Non-covered items: WPA does not cover the cost of dressings, medications, or orthotics. Your podiatrist will discuss any extra charges during your consultation.
-
Policy coverage questions: If you are uncertain about your coverage, contact WPA directly. The Functional Podiatrist cannot communicate with your insurance company—this must be done by the policyholder.
-
Important: It is your responsibility to notify WPA before your consultation to ensure coverage. Failure to do so may result in WPA not covering your consultation fees.
WPA Procedure codes for podiatrists:

Initial Appointment: No code is required
-
Follow-Up Appointment: No code is required
